Twenty-twenty has been a challenging year for everyone. Through it all, the Veterans Council of Indian River County has continued our mission to support all Indian River County veterans and their families while raising awareness of veteran needs and their contributions to society.
As the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the council saw a significant increase in need within our veteran community. The Council kept our doors open and never ceased providing direct aid. We made adjustments in the way we supported their needs. We worked with clients by phone, email and providing essential supplies and services as a “drive through” in our parking lot.
None of this work would have been possible with out the collective support from our generous community.
As the world continues to deal with a global health crisis and an economic crisis, one thing has become abundantly clear: We need to be ready to serve our veterans in crisis!
During this holiday season and in the spirit of giving, we ask you to make a year-end contribution in support of veterans’ programs. You will help the Veterans Council be ready in the New Year when it is anticipated that unemployment benefits and eviction moratoriums will end.
Thank you for being the power behind our commitment to veterans. We salute you! This work is only possible because of your generosity. Can we count on your donation today?
