Veterans Council of Indian River County
The Veterans Council of Indian River County (VCIRC), Inc was incorporated on February 6, 1987, to support all Indian River County veterans through the collective effort of veteran’s organizations, civic associations, and the local community, thereby raising awareness of veterans’ needs and of their contributions to society. The VCIRC is a non-government 501(C)(3) dedicated to supporting veterans and their families.

Emergency assistance with utility bills, rent, medical expenses, and groceries for eligible veterans.

Assistance with transition from military to civilian life. Employment readiness, job search, and skills training.
Transportation

Veteran Transportation to medical appointments locally and the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center.
Veterans in the
Classroom
Teaching students about respect for the nation, flag honors, military service, and citizenship.
Veterans Helping
Veterans
Providing basic home improvements for veterans who cannot afford or are physically unable to complete the work.
Honoring
Veterans
Constructing memorials for the fallen, and performing military ceremonies with local veteran organizations.
Scholarship Program
In partnership with Indian River State College providing scholarships for dependents of veterans.

Supporting Our Indian River County Veterans for Over 30 Years (1987-2019)
The Veterans’ Council has grown over the years through partnerships with county-wide veterans’ organizations and non-veteran civic and business entities along with supportive individuals. The Council, as an umbrella organization, has expanded its collaboration to include County veteran’s advocates and supporters comprised of auxiliary and honorary members, along with county and city government representative and friends.
